Research Council Awards for PhD Study – AHRC (University of Aberdeen)
The University of Aberdeen is part of a consortium of eight Higher Education institutions which has been awarded funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) to support postgraduate studentships and training in the Arts and Humanities in Scotland. Under the Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) scheme, the Universities of Aberdeen will consider applications for doctoral studentship awards in the majority of Arts and Humanities subjects, including Music.
Normally only those students who have been resident in the UK, for purposes other than education, for the preceding three years are eligible for a full award. For some awards candidates who are nationals of a member state of the EU and are resident in the UK may also be eligible for fees only awards.
The deadline is 12 January 2015, but in order to be nominated for a scholarship, applicants must hold an unconditional or conditional offer of a place on a College of Arts & Social Sciences PhD degree programme. Therefore it is important that you submit the PhD application as soon as possible and submit an expression of interest by 12 December (Friday) to a.m.johnston@abdn.ac.uk.
